Topps announced that rookie redemption card #7 of 10 from 2007 Topps Finest Baseball is a dual card of Boston Red Sox phenoms Daisuke Matsuzaka and Hideki Okajima.  Matsuzaka was also redemption #5 and Okajima was redemption #1.

So far the seven announced redemptions are:

1) Hideki Okajima, Boston Red Sox
2) Elijah Dukes, Tampa Bay Devil Rays
3) Akinori Iwamura, Tampa Bay Devil Rays
4) Tim Lincecum, San Francisco Giants
5) Daisuke Matsuzaka, Boston Red Sox

Upper Deck Series 2 Baseball, which is releasing today (June 20th), will contain the first game-used jersey cards of Daisuke Matsuzaka.

Besides the Dice-K jersey cards, Series 2 will contain other highlights such as 1989 rookie reprints, Star Signings and Rookie of the Year Predictor cards.

Topps announced that rookie redemption card #5of 10 from 2007 Topps Finest Baseball is Pitcher Daisuke “Dice-K” Matsuzaka of the Boston Red Sox.

So far the five announced redemptions are:

Upper Deck has announced that they have acquired a Daisuke Matsuzaka game-worn Boston Red sox jersey and will issue the first Red Sox game-worn jersey cards in Upper Deck Series II Baseball which will be out in June.

The only Dice-K jersey cards to this point have been from a World Baseball Classic Jersey.

He will also have additional Red Sox jersey cards in Upper Deck Element and Ultra Baseball SE.

 Topps has announed that it has made two additional to the 2007 Topps Triple Threads lineup.

• Daisuke (Dice-K) Matsuzaka will have three Triple Relic cards.   One card will feature a spring training used game ball piece.  It pays tribute to his “Gyro Ball” pitch.  There will be parallels of each card that will be numbered: Sepia (#’d 27), Emerald (#’d 18), Gold (#’d 9), Sapphire (#’d 3) and Platinum (1 of 1).
• Barry Bonds will also have three different Triple Relic cards.  He recently renewed his exclusive contract with Topps.
