Card #128 is Daisuke “Dice-K” Matsuzaka of the Boston Red Sox.   Upper Deck has yet to agree on an autograph deal with Matsuzaka.  If there is no autograph agreement, the redemption card will be a triple jersey memorabilia card.

According to Beckett, Upper Deck is teaming up with Major League Baseball to launch a new wrapper redemption program called “Rookie Card of the Month”.

Collectors will be able to redeem Upper Deck and Fleer wrappers for one of six cards throughout the season.  The cards will be available at your local hobby shop.

The first card (May) is outfielder Fred Lewis of the San Francisco Giants.  Lewis hit for the cycle in his major league debut.
